Male, 29 Years Old, Belgian Draft

Donnie is a huge Belgian gelding in his teens. He was in the first group to arrive from the auction and he was also one of the most fearful. Just by looking in his eyes you can tell he has had a hard life. It took days to get a halter on him and doing anything with him was out of the question at the beginning. We still must move slowly around him but he has come a long way. We can catch him fairly easily, groom him and even get a blanket on him in the winter. We are hopeful that with more time Donnie will grow to trust us unconditionally.
