Opportunity
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and creative full-time E-Commerce Merchandiser to join our team. In this role, you will manage the merchandising of products on our e-commerce website, ensuring that our online store reflects our standards and promotes our mission. You’ll take ownership of creating and maintaining online inventory, managing our website’s overall appearance, and driving the growth of our online business through innovative campaigns and customer-centric designs.
About Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary
Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location - complete with kilometers of walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention, and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. For the rest, Dog Tales is home for as long as they need it to be.

The Role
As the E-Commerce Merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for managing our online store and ensuring that customers enjoy a seamless shopping experience. Your contributions will be vital to the success of our online presence, driving both awareness and sales. Your responsibilities will include:
Creating and managing online inventory, including designing new product items, removing discontinued items, and maintaining accurate inventory counts.
Analyzing website data and metrics to generate actionable insights for improving site merchandising.
Assisting with our online marketing presence, including some social media support.
Managing the overall look, feel, and functionality of our online store, including graphic design elements.
Collaborating with other departments to execute marketing campaigns, including curating collections, products, and digital media.
Conducting quality assurance checks to ensure an optimal user experience across the website and products.
Monitoring website traffic changes and implementing strategies to increase sales.
Managing shipping processes with partners like Canada Post, UPS, and FedEx to ensure timely package delivery.
Supporting other administrative tasks as needed.
What You Bring

Minimum 2 years of experience in an e-commerce, UX, or marketing role.
Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with HTML and Adobe Photoshop.
A creative eye for styling and creating diverse merchandise collections.
Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
