We’re looking for a creative and results-driven Social Media Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing content across our social media platforms, ensuring our brand’s voice is consistently engaging and impactful. About Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary
Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location - complete with kilometers of walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention, and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. For the rest, Dog Tales is home for as long as they need it to be.

The Role

As a Social Media Account Manager, you will work closely with our media team to develop and execute social media strategies that drive brand awareness and engagement. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and curating engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), keeping up with trends and ensuring the content is creative and on-brand.

  • Planning, posting, and maintaining content schedules across all social media channels.

  • Overseeing content creation and scheduling with the media team to ensure deadlines are met and the content maintains high quality.

  • Managing social media accounts, monitoring engagement, and responding to followers in a timely manner.

  • Analyzing social media campaign performance, adjusting strategies to improve engagement and performance.

  • Developing a social media plan and calendar that aligns with business goals and drives engagement.

  • Collaborating with other departments, including marketing and design, to ensure content is aligned with overall company messaging.

  • 4+ years of experience in social media management and content creation.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics.

  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.

  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience managing social media channels and campaigns from start to finish.

Schedule This is a full-time position with a schedule of 8 AM – 5 PM, five days a week, with occasional weekend shifts as needed. Please note that reliable access to a car is required, as there is no public transit near our facility.
