About Charlie

Charlie came to us after a requiring emergency surgery that saved his life. He is on the mend now and healing beautifully, and we are so grateful to be getting to know this incredibly sweet soul as he recovers.

Charlie is deeply sensitive and wears his heart on his sleeve. He bonds closely with his people and wants nothing more than to be near them. He is the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room, soak up every cuddle, and remind you constantly just how much he adores you. For the right person, that kind of devotion is everything.

Because he attaches so deeply, Charlie does not do well when left alone for long stretches. He would thrive in a home where someone is around often, whether that is a work from home lifestyle, a retired adopter, or simply someone whose schedule allows them to be present for him. Charlie has anxiety and needs a home that is calm, patient, and willing to help him feel safe and loved every single day.

We are still getting to know Charlie as he settles in and heals, but early signs suggest he could do well with another dog as long as that dog has a calm and respectful temperament. We will continue to learn more about him as time goes on.

Charlie has already shown us how resilient and loving he is. He just needs someone to give him the soft, steady home he deserves.
