about lightning

Lightning was surrendered to us after being rehomed several times due to biting. We quickly learned that she may be small but she is a feisty firecracker! Lightning may be the smartest pup at Dog Tales. She knows every trick in the book and is always wanting to learn more. She likes to swim, do nosework and is very active.

Lightning is looking for a specific home due to her behavioural needs. She can resource guard and is extremely touch sensitive. Lightning's future family will need to visit her many times over a long period of time to learn how to handle her safely, continue her training, and become familiar with her. Due to her resource guarding she is unable to share a home with another dog and should be muzzled for any interactions with other dogs.

Last year, Lightning tore her cruciate. She had surgery to repair it and has made a full recovery. She does not have any mobility limitations due to this and continues to enjoy living an active lifestyle.
