Beau came to us after being surrendered due to his protective nature with his previous owner. To ensure his comfort and safety, Beau will need very gradual and controlled introductions to new people, as he can be reactive and may bite if he feels threatened.

Beau has idiopathic epilepsy and will require a dedicated family to manage his condition. This includes administering antiseizure medication twice daily, having his blood tested twice a year, and maintaining regular check-ups with his veterinarian. The positive news is that Beau has been seizure-free since 2019.

When Beau first arrived, he was understandably cautious of his new environment and the people in it. However, he is gradually becoming more comfortable and is showing his true, affectionate personality. Beau is incredibly intelligent and loyal. He has a particular fondness for playing fetch and delights in lounging on a lap while receiving belly rubs.
